Meet the creators:

Frank Frikker
(Singer Songwriter and Music Producer)
Frank Frikker is a German born Australian musician and singer/songwriter. His songs are a mix of ballads and satire performed in a blend of folk, blues and jazz.
He is the front man of Wolf’s Tales and has released five albums.
Frank has lived all around the world – Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan.
His globe-trotting life left little time for song and guitar, so he’s happily traded it all for life in Australia with more time for music and his wonderful wife Renee!
Meryn Cooper
(Author, Poet and Singer)
Meryn has been writing stories ever since she was a little girl. Always looking for ways to entertain, Meryn just loves to make people laugh.
She grew up in Sydney and followed her partner to the Sunshine State where she is happily settled with her little family, which includes a horse, a pony, two dogs and lots of wildlife. Oh, and two daughters and a husband!
Meryn thrives when she is busy and has a project on the go.

Pete Hill (Chief Sound Technician)
Pete is the Chief Sound Technician and multi-instrumentalist for the album.
He plays guitar, bass and piano.
Being a former IT specialist has given him the edge when dealing with recording equipment, and he’s extremely patient with the software.
His old cat Rogue sits in on all the recording sessions, and even has a meow in one of the songs.
Shanice Cho (Illustrator & Graphics)
Shanice is not only a creative illustrator, she also designs jewellery and is a skilled graphic designer.
She lives in Brisbane with her husband Peter, painting in her studio and selling her work at many of the city’s markets.
This is the third collaboration Shanice has done with Meryn.
She has a gentle and thoughtful way of to bringing the stories to life with colourful images.

What kick started The Pretzel Poem Project?
This project came about almost by accident.
Meryn met Frank and his wife, Renee, at the Redcliffe markets. The couple purchased her books, and later Frank contacted Meryn asking if she’d like to work on a children’s album. She sent him some poems, he put a tune to them, and they then worked together on harmonies.
They named the collaboration The Pretzel Poem Project. The Pretzel is for Frank who is German, and Poem for Meryn, the poet. Frank had heard many tales on the origin of the pretzel, and thought the album needed a song to tell that story. The pair started researching all these stories, and The Baker’s Son was the result.
